The friendly cafe on Market Street
We're a small cafe on Market Street in Galashiels, and the name says it plainly enough. Come in for a coffee and you might leave having had the full breakfast too, because that is how most mornings go here. We cook everything fresh, we keep the place spotless (customers tell us the menus are the cleanest they've seen), and we make sure folk feel looked after from the moment they walk in.
Our Scottish breakfast is on all day, so there is no rush to catch it. Alongside it we do Eggs Benedict, brunch plates and a proper lunch, with good coffee throughout. Plenty of our regulars pop by once a week, and we would happily see you just as often.

Is the Scottish breakfast really served all day?
Yes. Our full Scottish is on from the time we open right through, so there's no need to be up with the lark to catch it.
Do I need to book, or can I just walk in?
Just walk in. We're a small cafe and we take folk as they come, though at busy weekend times you might wait a wee minute for a table.
Can I get a coffee or food to take away?
Of course. We do takeaway coffee and food alongside dining in, handy if you're passing through the town centre.
Is the cafe wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have a wheelchair accessible entrance so everyone can get in comfortably.
Do you do brunch and lunch as well as breakfast?
We do. As well as breakfast we serve Eggs Benedict, brunch plates and a proper lunch, all cooked fresh through the day.
